"Since the dawn of civilization, mysterious forces have plucked the ancient armies from their savage battlefields, and placed them on the Battle Grid of eternity. Caught in a maelstrom of space and time, they fight countless battles with the enemies from many famous conflicts: The Hundred Years War, French Revolution, American Revolution, Civil War, World War I and others. "Battle Grid uses the Skirmish Combat System to resolve close quarters battle. Each player controls a squad of soldiers on the battlefield. All troop commands are resolved by dice rolls, with the special abilities of each army playing an important strategic role in the conflict."
